Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. Expands its Office to Better Serve Clients
Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. [6/2/08] has expanded its Tampa Office to better serve clients. Thorn | Lawrence attorney, Eric Thorn, recently commented about the Firm’s office expansion, “We have seen the steady growth of our client base due to our commitment to providing exceptional legal services in a cost efficient manner. Brian M. Dolan Joins Thorn | Lawrence, P.L.
Tampa, Florida - Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. today [12/5/07] announced that Brian M. Dolan has joined the firm as "Of Counsel". Brian Dolan is currently a Commissioner on the Tampa Port Authority and President of The Tampa Club. Dolan received his J.D. and LL.M. from Tulane University School of Law in 1976 and 1984, respectively. He is also an alumnus of the American University School of Government, where he earned a B.S. in Political Science. Dolan is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and will be assisting the firm with business development and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Thorn | Lawrence, P.L., Dolan worked for 5 years as an administrative law judge in New Jersey, and 17 years in management and executive positions in the maritime industry. While in the maritime industry, he was the Vice President of Insurance and Claims for Lykes Brothers Steamship Company, and Director of Asian Service for the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia. More recently Dolan worked as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and an Assistant Vice President, Premier Client Manager with Bank of America.
When asked about joining Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. Dolan responded, "I had several options available to me upon leaving Bank of America. What excited me about the opportunity with Thorn | Lawrence is the direction of the firm and the enthusiasm of its partners. Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. co-sponsored the 2007 Horizon Awards and attorneys Eric Thorn and Marcus Lawrence attended the March 31, 2007 award ceremony and dinner at the Orlando Museum of Art in Orlando, Florida. The AGC (Associated General Contractors) of Greater Florida is a construction trade organization focused on serving the needs of general contractors and other industry professionals which promotes skill, integrity and responsibility in the construction industry. The Horizon Awards recognize excellence in completed construction projects and represent the each recipient’s skill, integrity, hard work, ingenuity and commitment.
Lawrence to present at Lorman Education CLE seminar, “Florida Real Evidence for the Trial Practitioner”
Thorn | Lawrence, P.L. founding partner, Marcus S. Lawrence, Jr. has been selected to speak at a Lorman Education CLE seminar on, “Florida Real Evidence for the Trial Practitioner”. The seminar will be held August 9, 2007, in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Lawrence will speak regarding expert witnesses. His presentation will specifically discuss the qualification of expert witnesses in State and Federal Court proceedings and the foundation and scope of their testimony in each forum.
